ABSTRACT

The anterior region of the maxilla requires greater aesthetic sensitivity from the dentist when planning a restorative treatment. Thus, the professional must be combine characteristics such as color and form with functionality, in order to promote longevity and success. Therefore, all-ceramic restorations are the best option in most cases, because, in addition to having superior aesthetic results than metal-ceramics, they also have excellent mechanical and biological properties and have excellent long-term survival rates. Thus, the objective of this clinical case is to describe a rehabilitation in central incisors and to associate different ceramic prostheses with the use of a fiberglass post. Therefore, a ceramic veneer was made on upper right central incisor and a unitary crown on upper right central incisor, associated with a fiberglass post and a composite resin core. In addition, to optimize the esthetic, supervised at-home bleaching with 16% carbamide peroxide was performed. Therefore, the use of metal-free ceramics, respecting and following the correct indication, and the careful use of dental materials, make it possible to obtain a high aesthetic and functional standard. Thus, increasing the chance of long-term clinical success.
