ABSTRACT
This paper reports a 52-year-old female patient referred from another professional for installation of an implant prosthesis in the region of tooth #26. Clinically, the implant was slightly palatal and the prosthesis was inadequately made, with the emergency profile being not conditioned and preventing correct maintenance of peri-implant tissues. In this way, an apical sliding flap was performed, associated with the installation of a customized healing abutment to provide an adequate emergency profile. The prosthesis was made following the new gingival form, providing correct hygiene and stability of adjacent tissues. The treatment modality described in this case proved to be very effective, simple, and without major patient complications, being its application simple and of acceptable costs.
