ABSTRACT

Implantology is in growing demand and evolution. In view of this, guided surgery technique provides greater predictability and surgical prosthetic. This study aimed to conduct a literature review on surgical techniques in conventional and static guided implant dentistry, focusing on the latter. Static fully guided surgery has high precision, predictability and reduced post-operative discomfort, however, for the advantages of this technique be used eff ectively, it is essential that there is attention at all stages of treatment, as it can be sensitive to cumulative errors.

Key words – Computer-aided design; Dental implantation; Dental prosthesis design; Oral surgical procedures; Preprosthetic surgery computer-assisted.
