ABSTRACT

Treatment with implants in the anterior region with an immediate temporary crown is an essential alternative in rehabilitation on implants, as it presents a reduction in the time and number of clinical procedures, maintenance of gingival and bone tissues and psychological and social benefits for patients. During the planning phase, it is necessary to choose the appropriate approaches, adequate technique for atraumatic extraction, biomaterials, implant placement in the arch, provisionalization on the implant and other factors that, in aggregate, contribute to an adequate maintenance of the gingival architecture around the implant that will guarantee the health of the tissue and also the aesthetic success, which is of extreme importance in cases of anterior rehabilitation. The following case report shows the installation of an immediate loading implant in a central incisor, bringing the relationship about the importance of maintaining peri-implant tissues through provisionalization so that a good aesthetic and functional result is achieved in similar rehabilitations.

Key words – Dental implants; Provisionalization; Aesthetic rehabilitation; Immediate temporary crown.
