ABSTRACT

The guided surgery approach has revolutionized implant dentistry, providing increased precision and predictability to procedures. However, the full scope of its benefits can only be realized when accompanied by a robust prosthetic planning. This article underscores the crucial role of prosthetic planning in guided dental implant surgery and its direct impact on clinical success. We explore how the careful integration of prosthetic planning from the early stages of treatment can optimize implant stability, aesthetics, and function, resulting in exceptional outcomes for patients and dental professionals. The article also examines interdisciplinary collaboration between surgeons and prosthodontists as an essential factor for success, highlighting clinical cases and practical guidelines to demonstrate the fundamental importance of this approach in the field of guided dental implants.

Key words – Guided surgery; Implant dentistry; Precision; Personalized planning; Accelerated recovery; Predictability.
