RESUMO
Objetivo: relatar o caso de um protocolo de bandagem elástica no pós-operatório imediato da cirurgia de bichectomia. Foram avaliados dois parâmetros: controle do edema e da dor. Material e métodos: dez pacientes participaram do projeto e quantificaram sua dor e grau de edema no pós-operatório imediato da cirurgia de bichectomia, por meio de escala visual analógica. Metade da amostra recebeu a aplicação da bandagem elástica, enquanto os demais seguiram apenas com a lista dos cuidados domiciliares. Resultados: os relatórios mostraram resultados favoráveis na redução da dor e edema relacionados ao uso da bandagem elástica. Conclusão: o uso das fitas como medida de conforto no pós-operatório imediato da bichectomia parece ser uma excelente alternativa.

ABSTRACT
Objective: to report a protocol of applying elastic bandages in immediate bichectomy post-surgery. Two parameters have been evaluated: edema and pain control. Materials and methods: ten subjects participated, quantifying their pain and edema in the immediate post-surgery of bichectomy by means of an analog visual scale. Half of the subjects received elastic bandage application, while the remainder subjects had standard home care. Results: the report showed favorable results in reduction of pain and edema related to the usage of the elastic bandage. Conclusion: applying elastic bandage on bichectomy post-surgery treatment to provide comfort to the patient poses as an excellent alternative approach.
